My name is Amy Sullivan and I have been grooming cats and dogs for ten years for a major pet store corporation. While there, I was a salon manager and an academy teacher.  I  taught people the skills to groom dogs, the techniques of gentle dog handling, and the importance of creating a bond between the pet and the groomer. 

I have always had a love for all animals, especially dogs, and I feel that grooming is my calling.  My first word as a baby was "woof".  I believe that grooming is a creative art  and I have a connection with all of my four legged clients, not to mention their owners.  I have been grooming most  of my clients anywhere between 5-10 years.  I have seen many dogs grow up and older right before my eyes. Through the years I have seen many changes in the grooming industry, and corporations are often about quantity and sales.  I am going into mobile grooming because I feel it is the ultimate grooming situation for the pet and the owner because:  

• all pets deserve to be groomed right away without having to wait in a kennel and without rotating between other pets that are being groomed
• your pet is done as an express groom without being charged an express fee, such as fee's that are charged at large chain stores

• a beautiful relationship between pet/groomer/owner

I believe having an exclusive groomer for your pet is imparitive. Your pet becomes very comfortable with the groomer and the groomer knows the history, health, disposition, likes, and dislikes of the pet.  The groomer knows the haircut preferences  the owner prefers and the variations of clips they like according to the changing seasons.  Total Comfort recommends grooming your pet at least every four to six weeks.
